3rd Annual PAWS Mutt Strut Dog Walk and Adoption Festival! Join the Philly Agility Meet up for a special SPOOKY Agility Course at Mutt Strut. Come out and play!

Register here: http://www.firstgivi ng.com/phillypaws At the 3rd Annual PAWS Mutt Strut, dogs and the people who love them will walk the 1.5-mile scenic route in FDR Park to raise funds and awareness for PAWS' efforts to save Philadelphia's homeless, abandoned and unwanted animals. When: Saturday, October 31, 2009. Check-in/registration begins at 10am; start strutting at 11am!
Where: FDR Park (1900 Pattison Avenue, across from the sports complex). Plenty of free parking!
Registration fee: $25 per person ($10 for children 12 and under).
Don’t have a mutt to strut? No problem! Register and join us for a great event for a great cause, or "rent" a PAWS dog for the day and make a new friend, for the afternoon or for life! We will send you additional details and instructions a week prior the event.
Looking to adopt? Dozens of PAWS dogs waiting for loving homes will be on hand. Come meet your new best friend!
All participants get a PAWS eco-bag and dog bandana on day of event.
Plus, earn prizes as you raise money for PAWS!

May's agility meet up will be on an outdoor course in Quakertown, PA. We'll run out meet up from 3:00-4:30pm, providing that the weather is cooperating! This outdoor location is for quiet, social dogs only. Bring treats to work 'em and an open mind if you are new to agility. Teams will take times to work the course and those new to agility will be introduced to jumps!

Come out and run the course or try agility- jumps, tunnel and see what it's all about. Also we'll be doing "Picasso Paws" allow your dog's inner artist to take over...and for a $10 donation, get some of your own dog-created art. All funds raised to benefit Philly PAWS! Philly Agility Folks, Join us Saturday, December 6th from 12-2 pm at Central Bark!
We'll not only get the dogs groovin' on the agility course, but we'll this is our First Annual Deck the Dogs!!!! (what?) We're using this as an opportunity to spread the love and make a difference for Philly's Homeless animals too. So, we'll be "deckin' out" dogs that are really in need. Bring Towels, blankets, dog beds, collars, leashes (in good condition), clothes (warm sweaters for cold pitties!) and old crates (for fosterers). We'll also have a donation bin if you prefer to make a donation to benefit Philly PAWS.

Agility for Fun 1 is a class for those looking to take a class, and wanting to try agility with their dogs. Social, non-reactive dogs only. Agility nuts. Come out to Carnivale of the Dogs- sponsored by Commerce Bank, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept 27th. Leigh (me) of Opportunity Barks will be there with a partial agility course starting at 10 am. Come on down and get on the course, mess around or show off for the crowds! (jumps, tire, tunnel, table and more!) There will be a lot going on- doggie photos, doggie "paw readers" (yes, paw readers)!
